Hi! My name is Marc, I was born here in Mallorca, I grew up in the northern coast of Mallorca, and I’d like to share a bit about how this project came to be. This small, personal company began offering services in 2022, but the story starts a little earlier—around 2019—when I decided to venture into buying a small, 7-meter sailboat from 1980, despite having no prior experience. For over two years, I restored the boat, learning a vast amount through trial and error, online research, and advice from friends, all while pouring time and money into a dream that seemed perpetually out of reach. Each approaching summer, I hoped it would finally be the season I’d sail the Mediterranean aboard the «Virot Primer,» but it wasn’t until June 2021 that the boat finally touched the water again. The satisfaction was immense; I had achieved my goal, and the moment had arrived to live out the dream—sailing, sailing, and sailing.

 However, the joy was short-lived: I didn’t have enough time to enjoy it, and within a few months, I lacked the funds to maintain it. Everything related to the sea is expensive, but considering we are in Mallorca—a tourist island with limited resources—the costs are even higher. 

Over the following months, I thought about how I could sail more and spend more time at sea, and the classic saying came to mind: «If you can’t beat your ‘enemy,’ join them.» So, I looked for a Mallorcan *llaüt*—a traditional boat from the Balearic Islands—and came up with the idea of ​​offering experiences that captured the true flavor of Mallorca. I didn’t invent anything new; I simply emulated a business model that had been established for years—but I wanted to be a part of it.

Then came *Galipote II*, a Mallorcan *llaüt* measuring 10 meters in length and 3 meters in width—a beautiful vessel I found in Ibiza, owned by a man who had kept it in relatively good condition. It wasn’t an easy decision; I was venturing into a world where I lacked experience. However, I’ve always had my father’s entrepreneurial instinct to take a chance and try something new, and that is exactly what I did.

I launched my first experience in May 2022. The journey since then has been long and filled with a mix of nerves, frustration, passion, fear, and joy. The sea offers everything imaginable; you can discover its most beautiful facets, but only by sailing—sailing and sailing.

After four years and five seasons, I can look back and tell myself that I made the right decision.
